Monday Monday - how the weeks are flying by. Only 6-7 weeks until school is finished and I can safely day the house is on a home run. Today I went into Country Road and was loving all the Summer colours.

I think this year so far has been the busiest year of my life but that is OK - a big holiday in December/January is looming.

I love colour and found this amazing picture of bright happiness in the Scalamandre website. I can imagine this being used in a gorgeous country house in the US or UK.

Paiting Painting

Good Morning - I woke up this morning to find five painters downstairs. I love that number. I hope this means when I get home from work I find a great portion of downstairs painted. I will post some pics once this has been done!

Not long now until Xmas, the kids are asking me about writing letters to Santa and presents etc. I cant wait until Xmas.

Andrew bought back from my purchases from The Gap, they are ok - will probably only last a year as the quality is not the best but I guess this is why they are super cheap.

I love this fabric from Sandberg - great for a chair in a boys bedroom or cushions.

Have a great day

Chippendale Chair

A student free day today which was very relaxing for my big boy. A play in the park this morning with Hamish's friends from kindy (the twins!!) to exhaust them a little.

I have had a very confusing chat with the electrician today about my wireless fantastic media whatever we are installing in the house. I am techno challenged - I dont understand how you can watch a DVD in another room without the DVD player. Oooh well he has told me it will take a whole day of labout to install. At the end of the day my new living room will be chord free so that makes it all very worth it.

I am on a mission to find Chippendale Chairs. I might email Pigotts Store in Sydney. I would love to open a Pigotts in Brisbane!! I will post a picture when I find one that I like! In the meantime this one is from the American website Pieces Inc

My lovely husband is home in 2 days, I am looking forward to him coming home and actually do miss him. I might even make him a nice dinner on Saturday night - especially as I wont have a kitchen for 2 weeks on Monday!!

I am working from home today and it is lovely to be alone - no kids etc just music, coffee and my workplans and a chat with the builders. They are putting all the vj's in my walk in robe. I am so excited about this. I have the wardrobe man coming for a visit next week to discuss my plans - apparently my drawings were not very good!!!

I love these 2 rooms (pics above). I love the neutral tones of the kitchen and I wish I could have a conservatory - very elegant. I love the lantern on a pull rope!!
Have a lovely weekend.

Good Morning - up bright and early, even before the builders. The builders are on the final stages of finishing all the skirting etc downstairs. I am very impressed with their attention to detail. I have to be at swimming lessons in exactly 45 minutes and I still have to shower yet and enjoy my cup of tea. Nothing better than a rush to get out the door - the story of my life!

When Andrew is home he normally makes me a special "Andrew coffee" every morning but since he has been gone I have been having a tea instead. I am quite enjoying the tea but I am looking forward to the caffeine injection again soon.

I am going to post a couple of pics of the kids this morning. They are driving me nuts at the moment - I do not want to be a single parent. But I do love them so.

P.S I have found a kindred spirit in my love for books - I am going to raid her bookshelves in Toowoomba!!

Early rise this morning - 6.10am. I can hear the builders downstairs. There are four builders here again today. I am very impressed with their work ethic. Yesterday afternoon they all consulted me regarding the skirting - the outcome: I got something better than originally planned. Hubby still away in Germany. I did not speak to him yesterday, the time difference between Oz and Germany is a little difficult for speaking time, nevermind he is home in two weeks.

This morning I had 2 little boys snuggled in bed with me. Hamish sleeps right next to you face!

I am starting to look forward to Xmas this year. I have already ordered 2 absolutely delicious organic chicken rolled roasts with apricot and macadamia stuffing with cranberry glaze. Both my beautiful Dad and I are a huge fan of these. It is a bit of the hike from Brisbane (but under an hour) to get to Zarbelle Organic Poultry but well worth the effort.

I downloaded this picture last night. I have seen this house at Palm Beach, Sydney in a magazine before and ironically it is right in front of Andrews aunt and uncles beach house. This evening I am doing a post in honour of our pets!

Tomorrow is a big day for my most special friend as she welcomes 2 new canine friends to the family. I am a huge dog lover and truly appreciate the love that pets bring to the home and family. I will be sure to post a future picture of the 2 new additions.

I have just spoken to my husband who has just landed in Heathrow and was disappointed to learn that the Walk to Jo Malone Duty Free was too far. I am a huge huge fan of her perfumes and have been in love with them for the past 5 years since they first arrived in Australia at the David Jones store in Sydney. Lucky for me I am in good stock at the moment. I am looking forward to trying her new scent Vanilla and Anise.

I am loving these set of pics from Mermaid Hut if only the postage to Australia was reasonable. I especially love the frames. They look beachy but very elegant.

Exhausted today but lucky for me I have Ms Norton, who has kindly fed and cared for the Kinder Surprises. XXOO

Looking forward to shower and bed tonight.

Kelly Wearstler

A very tiring day at work, glad to be home. The kids are in bed and I am now going to have a nice warm shower, make myself a cup of Madagascan Vanilla tea with soy and curl up and read my new book on Lady Annabel Goldsmith and slowly drift of into a deep sleep! I had better remember that the tooth fairy needs to make a gold coin donation this evening. This is an old antique stool that I recently had done by Black and Spiro in this gorgeous Kelly Wearstler fabric. I love this fabric.

Good Morning on this lovely sunny Tuesday morning in Brisbane Queensland. Hubby is away in America (lucky him) at the moment so I am running around getting the kid ready for school, but there is always time for a good morning.

Tonight I will post a lovely pick of little Kelly Wearstler covered chair that I had done this year. Also did I forget to mention that we are in the last stages of major renovations - phewww. Have a great sunny happy day. I would like to also thank my great friend Tracy for helping me out with kids this week. What would we do without friends!!

Welcome to my hopefully interesting blog as I begin to share with you my OBSESSION with fabrics and interior decorating. As I spend most of my free time researching interior related articles and fabrics I thought it would be good psychology to start documenting my love.

This gorgeous vase is a lovely gift from my mother in law. She has a house full of antiques that I adore. I love the birds and gorgeous handles.
